William B. Cochran

William Bruce Cochran Jr passed away on March 21, 2024 in Lancaster, Pa. Known throughout his life as Bruce, he was born on October 5, 1958 to William Bruce Cochran and Willadean Ronna (Long) Cochran in Oil City, Pa. He grew up in the Franklin/Oil City area and graduated from Rocky Grove Jr Sr High School in 1976.  Bruce lived in Colorado several years after graduating before making his home in the Lancaster, Pa area. He had a passion for hunting and fishing which he especially loved doing with his 2 grandsons, Christopher and Cameron. Bruce also loved his motorcycle and was a member of the Hard Luck Sunnyside and Garden Spot Motorcycle Clubs and participated in numerous charity fundraisers throughout the years. He was talented in shooting pool and belonged to multiple pool leagues in the Lancaster area. Bruce worked in the construction industry and owned his own drywall business specializing in commercial buildings for many years. He is survived by his daughters Jennifer (Cochran) Jones and Lisa Cochran, 2 grandchildren Christopher Jones Jr and Cameron Jones, a sister Lori (Terry) Wolbert and a brother Tim (Susan) Cochran, a Stepbrother Lewis (Mary) Peterson and a Stepsister Lisa (Mike) Rowe, a nephew Timothy Cochran and a niece Brooke Cochran, Uncles Gary (Carla) Cochran and William (Carol) Long, Aunts Marilynn Shepard, Judy Cochran, Virginia Snyder, and Norma Norman and several cousins. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, both Maternal and Paternal Grandparents, his stepmother Lura Cochran, and several Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Bruce will be deeply missed by friends and family who are invited to celebrate and remember his life on Saturday, April 6th from 2-4 pm at Hard Luck Sunnyside Motorcycle Club, 402 Prescott Rd, Lebanon, Pa 17042.

  • BRUCE had been a frieñd for many years, he will be missed by many. He helped Jay B. with drywalling and he use to make me laugh like crazy….he had a good heart, I’m sorry for the loss. May he fly High with Jay B. ❣️
