Darryl W. Ingersoll, 76, of Manheim, PA passed away Thursday Afternoon, October 12 at Mt. Joy Hospice surrounded by his loving family.
Darryl was born March 10, 1941 in Quincy, IL to the late Carl D. Sr. and Lorraine E. Ingersoll. He was an avid golfer, bowler, artist and devoted Chicago Bears fan. Retiring in 2004, Darryl sought out a new career at Evergreen Golf Course as a greens keeper. What was supposed to be another notch on the ladder became a passion and a foundation for some of Darryl’s best kept friendships.
He married Judith (Anders) at First Christian Church in East Moline, IL in 1962. He and his beloved wife have shared a lifetime of love and laughter, recently celebrating 55 years of marriage.
Not only a hard worker, and a connoisseur of many talents, Darryl could be described as a devoted husband, father, grandfather (papaw), and great grandfather.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm-2:45 pm. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 pm, Saturday, October 21st, 2017 at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church located at 85 E. Brandt Boulevard in Landisville, PA.
