Carol Longacre

Carol “Grammy” Longacre, 79 passed away at her home on April 22, 2024, in the care of her
family and hospice. Born on October 14, 1944, in Christiana, PA. She was the daughter the
late Clyde Thomas and Dorothy Winward. She was preceded in death by her husband H. Keith,Longacre and two sisters, Ann Clifford and Jeannie Henry.

Surviving family members include a brother, Clyde Thomas, married to Betty; Paul Dawson married to Donna; a son, William Longacre; a daughter, Janice Longacre, married to Krista. She has seven grandchildren, Jennifer Escobar, married to Juan; Jackson Stetler, Hunter Johnson, David Johnson married to Elina, Abby Longacre , partner Chad Shaw; Erica Harrell married to Mark Harrell; Jacob Longacre. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.

She was a member of Glenmore Methodist Church for 50 years where she participated in many ministries from youth to seniors. Throughout her life, Carol displayed a remarkable sense of selflessness and generosity. She never missed the opportunity to send a card to her friends and church members. She was also never without a Christmas gift or dog treat. Carol was known for her love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved the Philadelphia Phillies, her dog Eugene, and sweets. Her kindness will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

The family would like to thank the nurses and aides at Amedisys Hospice for the care and
support throughout her illness.

Friends and family are invited to a graveside service at 11am behind Glenmore United Methodist Church, 1920 Creek Rd, Glenmore, PA. Parking encouraged at Wagenseller Park. A celebration of life and light luncheon to follow at the pavilion in Wagenseller Park, Park Lane, Glenmoore, PA. Feel Free to wear Philadelphia Phillies colors or clothing in her honor.
