Walter James “Jim” Barrett

Walter James “Jim” Barrett, 62, passed away unexpectedly at Lancaster General Hospital on Monday, September 12. His wife Cynthia “Cindy” Barrett and his daughter Francesca “Frankie” Barrett were at his side. Born in New York, he was the son of the late Walter Harry Barrett and Barbra Elaine (Shafer) Barrett.

Jim spent most of his life in Landisville, PA. He had a passion for being in the kitchen and loved sharing his creativity with everyone; either through his art, gardening or his food.  He made many meals for family and friends, however, his favorite part of cooking was serving others.

Please join us for a Celebration of Life Memorial Service that will be held on Saturday,  September 24th at Hope Born in Christ (HBIC) Church 2600 Marietta Ave, Lancaster PA, 17601. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, with a service to follow at 11:00 AM.  A private interment will be held at a later date.

In Jim’s memory, please spend a moment in your kitchen, in your garden or doodling on a napkin.
