Sandra “Sandi” Jean Killian

Sandra “Sandi” Jean Killian received her wings on October 18, 2023. Born in Lancaster, PA on November 13, 1949. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Jean Myers. Sandi lived with her husband and best friend, Bruce Herr of Lancaster, PA.

She graduated from JP McCaskey High School in 1967 and the LGH School of Radiologic Technology in 1969. She spent most of her career as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Sandi also became an LPN and loved being with and taking care of people.

Her yard with many beautiful flowers and her hot tub brought her many years of pleasure. She also enjoyed going to the pool and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce Herr. Her children Matthew Killian and his wife Claudia, Corinna Killian and her wife Kim, stepdaughter’s Heather Herr, Shannon Boeckel and her husband Scott. 6 Grandchildren: Taylor Herr, Payton and Camden Boeckel, Samantha Killian, Jake and Josh Meloni. 1 Great-granddaughter: Everlyee Gonzalez. 2 fur children: Lacey and Charlie

Sandi loved her dogs and said, “life is no life without her fur babies”.

Sandi has requested no viewing or funeral. She has asked her family to celebrate her life with remembrance of good memories. 

Celebration of Life date and location to be determined.

Memorial donations can be made to a local pet shelter and/or rescue groups.

  • Bruce, Matt and Corinna and families, I am sorry to learn about Sandi. We all had so much fun on Princess Anne Dr and at the pool. Always a smile on her face and caring for others. I will always remember the good times. We lose good people too soon.

    My deepest condolences 💐 on the loss of Sandi. I met her when she came to work part time at Dress Barn in Lancaster. Sandi was always a kind, sweet, beautiful woman with a heart of gold. Never a bad word against anyone & wanting to help everyone she could. God had gained an angel. We have lost a bit of sunshine here on Earth.

  • Sandi… I only remember you from one summer when we were at Furnace Hills Girl Scout Camp…I WILL NEVER FORGET YOUR “POWDER EXPLOSIONS” WHAT A FUN RIDE!! Love you for that…hope they have lots of powder in heaven!!!!

  • I met Sandi when she sold me a sewing machine. I later learned she and I share some cousins. I will think of her each time I use that machine. We had several really nice conversations and I found her to be very kind. Rest easy friend.

  • I got to know Sandi later than most as she became one of my weekend caregivers. She was such a sweet, funny person whom I grew to love like a member of the family. I cherish the memories I have of Sandi, and there are many good ones. She was very special.

  • my most sincerest condolences to Bruce and the rest of the family. I worked with Sandy at Occupational Medicine back in the years 1997-2000. I spent lots of time with her in her pool when she had it and her hot tub. she was always so sweet and funny. May you SIP in our savior’s arms. 🙏🙏🙏
