Ronald Barr Sr.

Ronald L. Barr Sr., 78, of Lancaster, PA, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025 after a short battle with cancer. Ron was born December 6, 1946 in Chicago, IL; the son of Violet Schneider Barr and Lewis Barr. He attended Lampeter-Strasburg High School. Ron joined the United States Marine Corps in 1966, serving honorably for 2 years.He is survived by his devoted wife, Donna M. Barr, sons Ron Barr, Jr. of Lancaster and Doug Trauger (Kate) of Pequea, his daughter-in-law, Kim Trauger of Conestoga, and his granddaughters Erika Rohrer (Blake), Amanda Trauger, Jessica Trauger, Ally Trauger, and June Trauger. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Lewis Barr, Jr., and sons Mike Trauger of Pequea and James “Guy” Trauger (Kim) of Conestoga.

He enjoyed working for Conestoga Memorial and as an Exterminator for over forty years. Ron loved his customers and considered many his friends. He was a life-long car enthusiast and enjoyed watching NASCAR with his boys.
