Roger A. Covert

Roger A Covert, 64, of East Earl, PA, entered into rest on October 16, 2024 in Ephrata, PA after a brief illness. Born on September 8, 1960, he was the beloved husband of Teresa Covert for 19 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Frederick and Rita (Stamm) Covert.

Roger was a former employee of the New Jersey Department of Corrections where he proudly served as a SCPO until his retirement. He loved his job and most importantly his co-workers who served as his second family.

Roger was a loving and devoted husband, father, PopPop, and friend. He had a passion for travel, poker, and the San Francisco 49ers. 

In addition to his wife, Teresa is survived by his children: Stephanie (Reade) Whitman, Erik (Danielle) Covert, Christopher (Amanda) Covert, Tissha (Chad) Boothe and Nelson Martinez. His favorite role was that of PopPop to his 7 grandchildren: Alyssa Clark, Rayne Covert, Haylie Covert, Skyler Boothe, Cadence Boothe, Natalie Martinez, and Nelson Martinez Jr; and great grandchild: Cameron Franco-Ward. He also leaves behind his sister, Marchie (Covert) Sparks. 

Private services will be held for the family at a later time.
