On March 12th, 2022 Robert “Bob” Emmett Green, loving husband and brother, passed away at the age of 68.
Bob’s early years were spent on a dairy farm that his parents managed, with the help of many extended family members, until he was seven years old. The family moved to Lansdowne, PA where Bob attended Ardmore Avenue Elementary and Lansdowne-Aldan High Schools. He worshipped at St Paul’s Lutheran Church. He sang in the church choir and with the DelChordians, barbershop harmony chorus, where he served as a board member. He cherished his memories of Lansdowne and his friends and family from his childhood.
Bob spent the next chapter of his life living in Palmyra and Hershey, PA with his wife Kathleen “Kate”. They have been together for 43 years. He was involved with the Palmyra recreation department and coached youth soccer. He was a member of the Hummelstown Historical Society and enjoyed exploring family histories and genealogy. Professionally, Bob worked in service technician roles building and maintaining church pipe organs, planetariums throughout the U.S. and durable medical equipment. Bob enjoyed listening to music with high quality audio equipment. He appreciated great literature and trivia along with philosophical conversations. He was a collector of unique antiques and enjoyed participating at regional flea markets. Bob was known for the remarkable rich tone of his voice and was appreciated for his gregarious and kind engagement with everyone he encountered.
He was preceded in death by his father, Emmett, and his mother Loretta. He is survived by his wife Kathleen, his brother David (wife Ann and son Andrew), brother-in-law John Dodge, sister-in-law Diane Sattazahn (and son Samuel) and sister-in-law Joan Domanski and family.
No formal funeral events are planned. Donations, in his memory, may be made to your local humane society or your charity of choice.
