Richard l Hamilton Sr. at the age of 73 of Delta, Pa. Went home to the lord on December 15, 2016.
Richard was born in York, PA to Henry Hamilton and Janet Anderson. Dick Grew up on his Grandparents farm in Lower Chanceford and later built his home on that site, where he enjoyed all the beauty of the farm.
After graduating from Red lion high School, he pursued a career in welding which he excelled. He worked throughout the country on pipe lines and power plants. Dick ended his career at TMI.
After retirement Dick kept active helping Farmers and others using his welding skills. Dick enjoyed his community and often spent time with his friend Ike as well as visiting with friends at Glaskins Service Station. The family would like to extend their gratitude to all that made it possible for him to remain in his home until his time of passing. Dick in his later years came to receive the Lord as his savior.
Richard is survived by his son Richard lee Hamilton Jr. his wife Mari Hamilton and Grandson Brandon Lee Hamilton, son Shawn Hamilton, Daughter Paula Ince, Sister Beverly Bowman and husband James Bowman of Delta. He was preceded in death by his two brothers David and Benny Blevins and his beloved Aunt Doris Anderson.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Memorial Service at New Life Assembly of God, 1991 Old Philadelphia Pike, Lancaster, PA 17602 on Friday, Dec. 23, 2016 at 3pm with Pastor Moses Baker officiating. Friends may greet the family from 2pm until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers the family suggest helping someone in need this Holiday Season.
