Rebecca Bock Buckwalter passed away suddenly on May 8, 2024 absent from the body, present with the Lord. Becky was a 34year cancer survivor.
She was born February 21, 1946 to the late John and Dorothy (Orndorff) Bock. She was the loving and devoted wife of Willard “Bill” Buckwalter for 58 years. Becky was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
She was a 1964 graduate of JP McCaskey High School. She volunteered on Mondays at the Matthew 25 Thrift shop where she worked at the checkout counter and made many friends. On Tuesdays she and Bill would be found at Root’s Market. She mastered many craft forms, cross-stitch, quilt making, but most of all was a master rug maker; from dying the wool to creating amazing and lyrical scenes. She created many pieces treasured by many people. Her love of craft and appreciation for skill and the tradition was passed on to her sons, an artist and a carpenter.
We traveled, did gardening, and grew old together, she was my best friend, she will be greatly missed. I love you still, and I always will!
Besides her husband, she is survived by her 2 sons, Timothy, husband of Nell of CA, and Marc, husband of Connie of Lititz, twin grandchildren, Nick of Los Angeles, CA and Ruby of Chicago, IL, and a brother in California.
Per her wishes there will be no services. A private family interment will be at Westminster cemetery.
