Randy Geisel

March 2, 1964 — March 23, 2025

Randy A. Geisel, 61, of Honey Brook, PA passed away peacefully on March 23, 2025 in his home surrounded by his family, after a long illness with stomach cancer. Randy was born on March 2, 1964 to Barbara and Jacob Geisel in West Chester, PA. After graduating from Downingtown High School in 1982, he attended RETS Electronics School. After graduation he worked in many different fields including owning his own businesses in woodworking, laser printer repair, auto part sales and overstock liquidation sales. He was most recently employed as a postal carrier for USPS.

In 1981, he began dating Ellen Barker and they were married on July 31, 1982, in Marshallton, PA, going on to have three daughters, Rebecca, Heather and Amy. They were married for 42 years.

Randy loved fishing, gardening, farming, homesteading, tinkering, camping, vacationing to Cape Cod, cooking and canning. He raised steers, chickens, sheep, ducks and always had a dog. In the past he enjoyed drag racing at Cecil County, woodworking and furniture refinishing. He also enjoyed muscle cars, his favorite being the 1972 Hurst Olds. Randy loved watching NASCAR and the Philadelphia Eagles. Over the last few years, Randy became very involved in many cancer support groups and even started his own. He was an inspiration to many and a “go to” source of advice for anything from auto repairs to raising chickens. He encouraged so many along his journey.

Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Geisel and his son-in-law, George Garner V.

Randy is survived by his wife, Ellen Geisel; his daughters, Rebecca (Karl) Myers, Heather Garner and Amy Geisel. He is also survived by his father, Jacob Geisel and a brother and sister, Craig (Britany) Geisel and Vicki (Michael) Maristch. Randy was particularly close with his grandchildren; Cierra, Ava, Camielle, Georgie, Shawn and Adrian. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Randy’s beloved dog, Lady Flower Lucy, was a constant companion and a source of comfort, and she too will miss him dearly.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Ephrata Cancer Center for their care and compassion over the last three years.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for all who wish to attend and will be announced at a later date.
