Stewartstown

Paul Everett Davis, 56, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on September 7th, 2024.

Paul, who resided in Stewartstown with his beloved wife Eileen, his stepson Scott, and their cherished dog Laney, leaves behind a family who will deeply miss him. Eileen’s children, Stephen Miller and Brooke Steele, along with her husband Matt, were close to Paul and held him in great affection.

Born on July 16, 1968, in Ellsworth, Maine, Paul was the son of Lorna and Larry Davis. He is survived by his twin sister Penny Davis and her lifelong partner Jim, his brother Troy and his wife Cheryl, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were like family. Paul is preceded in death by his dearly loved aunts and uncles and his loyal dog Allie, who was his companion for 14 years. Known affectionately as ‘Papa’ by his dogs, Paul enjoyed spoiling them with love.

A passionate outdoorsman, Paul cherished hunting, fishing, and boating. He spent countless hours target practicing and relishing the tranquility at his best friend Dale’s property. He also had a keen interest in history, the old west, and bigfoot.

Paul grew up in Eddington, ME, and graduated from Brewer High School in 1986. He served with honor as a Combat Engineer in the United States Army and later worked in erecting communication towers across the country. Upon moving to Pennsylvania, Paul became an active member of the American Legion Post #455, where he served as Head of the Home Association and completed a term as Post Commander. His dedication and personality made him a beloved member of the Legion family.

A celebration of Paul’s life will be held on September 22, 2024, at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Legion Riders Association, Post #455, 19222 Barren’s Road South Stewartstown, PA 17363.
