Paul David Capcara Sr. died in his sleep Sept. 27 in the apartment he shared with his wife of nearly 70 years at Homestead Village, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. A resident of Mountville and Lancaster, PA for 36 years, Paul was 91 years old.
A native of Pittsburgh, he received an undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh and worked for many years designing missiles for North American Rockwell in Columbus, Ohio where he lived for 22 years.
He was a life master of bridge, and in retirement he and his wife, Justine Bonnie Capcara, were world travelers.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Kathleen Capcara (husband John McIntyre) of Baltimore, Maryland, Linda Capcara (husband Danny Andersen) of Phoenix, Arizona; a son, Paul Capcara Jr. (life partner Kate Sweeney), of Montpelier, Vermont; a former daughter-in-law, Kathie Capcara of Brattleboro, VT, his nephew Paul Stengle, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
