Ogden Britton Gorham II of Lancaster, PA passed away June 1 st at his home surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer. Ogden has been a resident of Lancaster, PA for the past 24 years. Ogden was born December 3 rd , 1956 in Yardley, PA to Joyce Gullowsen and the late Ogden Gorham. He attended Pennsbury High School. Following his time in Yardley, he joined the Navy as a corpsman and continued his devotion to the medical field attending Temple and Drexel University, obtaining his certification as a Physician Assistant. Specializing in cardiology, cardiothoracic and neuro surgery, he was a pioneer in his profession.
In addition to his devotion to the medical field and helping others, he held an even higher devotion to his family and friends. His hobbies included golfing, sailing, laying out at the beach, attending car shows and working on his house, garden and his own collection of antique cars (toys). Those who knew him will remember him most for his sense of humor, fun loving attitude and positive outlook on life. He always lit up a room with a smile and a contagious laugh and always enjoyed a good prank when the opportunity presented itself. Above all, he will be remembered for being a loving and devoted father to his children.
Ogden is survived by his children Chris and Cate Gorham, his mother Joyce Gullowsen, brother John Gorham (Stacey), sister Margaret Gorham, nieces and nephews, former wife Angela Gorham, and many loving friends. He was predeceased by his father Ogden Gorham and sisters Marcia Robinson and Jill Anderson.
A celebration of Ogden’s life will include a memorial service on Tuesday June 6 th at 11am at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 East Delp Road, Lancaster, PA 17601.
