Norman Decker Sr., 74, of Bird-in-Hand entered eternal rest on Monday, June 3, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Catherine Mimm Decker, together they shared 54 years of loving marriage. He was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and was the son of the late Harvey Decker Sr. and Irene Fink Decker. Norman served 3 years in the United States Navy, then spent 20 years as a mason. Finally, he retired after 23 years of truck driving at Yellow Freight. After retirement, Norman volunteered 25 years at Bird-in-Hand Fire Company. Norman enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His greatest love was his family and was known as ‘pap’ to everyone. He also enjoyed traveling, one of his places to go was Myrtle Beach. In addition to his wife, Catherine, Norman is survived by his children, Stacy Pridgen, wife of Shawn Pridgen, Donna Decker, fiancée of John Uttley, Norman Decker Jr., fiancé of Melinda Ortiz, as well has his siblings Harvey Decker Jr., husband of Helen, Judy Rojas, fiancée of Millie, James Decker, fiancé of Claudia, and Tammy Duran, wife of Brian. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Donna Decker and brother Barry Decker. A celebration of life will be held at a later date and will be shared via Facebook.
