Matthew T. Ovensen, age 40, of Lancaster County, PA, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2015. Born and raised in Ephrata, he was the son of Tina and Albert Ovensen. He was predeceased by the love of his life, Nicole ‘Sunshine’ Stauffer; Maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Nancy Kissinger; as well as paternal grandmother, Betty Ovensen; and, Robert Kissinger (Uncle). Matthew graduated Ephrata high school. He also attended Penn State and Millersville University. He was baptized and grew up within the Lutheran church. Matthew had loved soccer, fishing, hiking, snow skiing, water skiing, and just spending time outside. He is survived by his parents, Al and Tina Ovensen; A daughter, Destiny Stauffer Ovensen; A sister Ashley, spouse of Ryan White; as well as his aunts and uncle Dean and Juanita Kissinger, Vickie Kissinger, and his cousins, Melanie, Amy, and Angie and their children. Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service at Bergstrasse Lutheran Church, 9 Hahnstown Road, Ephrata, PA, 17522 on March 14th at 2pm with Pastor Lohr.
