Maris T "Chip" Miller, IV

March 10, 1954 — August 10, 2024

Quarryville

Maris Taylor (Chip) Miller IV was born on March 10, 1954 and greeted Jesus' face to face in the early morning hours on Saturday, August 10 at Lancaster General Hospital, Lancaster, PA, surrounded by Judy and his church family. Chip was born in Coatesville, PA. to Maris T. (Slim) Miller and Margaret Strouse Miller. He was predeceased by his parents and sisters Judy Canada Brown and Sandra L. McCarter. Chip was the loving and devoted husband of Judy Baldwin Miller, father of Matthew Miller and Jacob Ryan Miller and several grandchildren.

Chip was an active member of IMPACT Church of Parkesburg, PA, where he served as a member of the Connect Team and co-founded the Senior Adult Ministry "55 ALIVE". He was also active in other ministries at the church as well.

Chip was in logistics as well as the trucking industry.

Chip was an active member of AA for many years. He and Judy got married following an AA meeting. Chip was a praying husband and always stop to pray for people regardless of where he was. He prayed especially for those who were suffering with cancer and gave many rides to the Amish community free of charge for their cancer treatments.

He never once asked God why he had cancer. He knew it was so he and Judy could minister to others suffering with the disease, sharing Ensure and Boost recipes.

Judy knew Chip loved her as he told her he did many times a day. They loved watching FOX News, Mike & Molly, sporting events, especially Chip's beloved Eagles Football team and TLC.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, August 19 at 6:30 p.m. at IMPACT Church of Parkesburg, 101 E First Ave., Parkesburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Chip's honor to IMPACT Church.

"You were my sunshine, my only sunshine, you made me happy when skies were gray;

You'll never know dear, how very much I loved you,

Now my sunshine has faded away"
