We are sad to announce the passing of our beloved mother Marilyn “Cookie” Robertson on November 4, 2024. Marilyn passed after a brief illness at home. Born in Pittsburgh PA, she was the daughter of Blanche (Bennett) and H. Steel Phillips.
Marilyn graduated from Fairfax Hall Preparatory School for girls in Waynesboro, Virginia. Shortly after graduation, she got married, became a homemaker, and raised her two children. Marilyn loved to sew and play bridge, when her children got older, she had a remarkably successful sales career at Sears until her retirement. She took immense pride in being the top salesperson and winning a trip to California.
In her leisure time, Marily loved the ocean and the annual family vacations to LBI, relaxing in the sun by her pool while sipping on a cocktail or two and all her furry and feathered companions over the years. She loved all animals great and small.
Survived by her children, Heather Robertson (Al Kirchner Jr), Steel Robertson, her sister, Pamela Landau; grandchildren, Kyle Goodyear (Alexandra), Lachlan Robertson (Gabriella Lopez), and Lyric Robertson; great grandchildren Bennett Goodyear, Kian Robertson, and Lilia Robertson. Marilyn was proceeded in death by her parents and her sister, Ruth Siegfried.
Interment will be private and at the convenience of her family.
