L. David Timms

d. June 28, 2008

L. David Timms, beloved husband, father and friend unexpectedly was called out of time into eternity on Saturday, June 28. Laura, his wife of 12 years, daughter Trinity Leona, the Miller family, and a host of friends grieve the loss of his companionship on this side of time.

Dave was born on 11/1/62 in Reno, NV, and later adopted into the family of Virginia Leona and Robert Bettes Timms. Jiggs and Reno, the Sierra Nevada, and later the Pacific Northwest formed Dave’s geographic soul, and their call was always with him during his sojourn in Pennsylvania.

After 2 years of playing football at U of N -Reno and other adventures including back packing trips in Yosemite, Dave began a career as a surgical technologist. He then moved from Reno to Portland where he and Laura met, and later they “traveled” to other hospitals around the US. Recently Dave has been the orthopedic co-odinator for the surgical team at LRMC.

Dave and Laurie’s love for gardening brought color and life to the preserved farm where they were caretakers for the length of their marriage. Together they enjoyed many happy occasions with family and friends including a weeding party, wagon rides on Halloween, Cornstock gatherings with “Bad Medicine” music, and 4th of July fireworks.

The family has made cremation arrangements, and friends are invited to bring a written memory and a chair for an outdoor celebration in honor of Dave’s life at the Timms home: 650 Cider Press Rd., Manheim on Saturday, July 5,
from 10 till noon.

Gifts in Dave’s memory can be made to: Trinity Timms, for Education Fund and sent to Grandma Kathy Miller, 830 Columbia Ave., Lancaster, PA 17603 or contact: marcandjulie@hotmail.com
