Kermit Stambaugh, Jr. passed away at Hanover Hospital on Tuesday, March 30th, 2021 in Hanover, PA from complications following lung cancer. He was 55 years old.
Kermit was born on August 3, 1965 in Kingsport, Tennessee to his parents, Kermit and Peggy Stambaugh. He married Denise Willis on June 20, 2008. Kermit lived with his wife in Glenville, PA and worked as a carpenter for Woods Bros Inc. Kermit trained apprentices and lead a framing crew for most of his life. In Kermit’s spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking on the grill, and cultivating in his vegetable garden.
Kermit is survived by his wife, Denise, their children, Joseph Cole, Brittany McClain; his parents Kermit and Sandy Stambaugh; mother Peggy Entler; six brothers, three sisters; and five grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sister Laurie Entler, cousin Bobby Kirk, nephew Justin Stambaugh and grandmother Georgia Stambaugh.
Kermit will be cremated and a memorial service will be held in his honor in May. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Kermit’s life. Any monetary donations or gifts can be given to the family at the time of the celebration of life in May to offset funeral costs.
