John R. Seachrist, 69, of Douglassville, PA, passed away on January 15, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. He was affectionately known by those who knew and loved him as “Bob” or “Moose”.
Born and raised in Lititz, PA, the son of the late John S. and Beatrice (Buch) Siegrist, Bob was a 1963 graduate of Warwick High School. He retired in 2009, after 45 years of service as dispatcher of the Lehigh Hanson quarry in Downingtown, PA and was a long time member of the Rattlesnake Hunting and Fishing Lodge in Clinton County, PA. Bob was a trivia wiz and enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and relaxing in the mountains. He loved spending time with his grandkids and was an unmistakable presence when attending one of their sporting events.
Surviving is Bob’s companion of 36 years, Shirley Stierly of Bucktown, PA, his three children: Salinda (Sindy) Keyser, wife of Rob Keyser of Lititz, PA; Heather Geeting, wife of Glenn Geeting of Hummelstown, PA; and John R Seachrist Jr, husband of Ann (Landry) Seachrist of Pughtown, PA, six grandchildren, and two sisters: Joyce Evans and Jean Harris. He was preceded in death by a third sister, Joanne Seachrist.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial service at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 31 at Brunnerville United Methodist Church, 517 Pine Hill Rd, Lititz, PA.
