John F. Lamberson
January 20, 1928 – January 26, 2016
John Lamberson, 88, of Mt. Joy, PA, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at the Masonic Village.
John was born January 20, 1928 in Hazleton, PA, the son of the late Oscar and Eva (Nicholas) Lamberson and he lived in Mt. Joy the past 5 years.
John was a graduate of Hazleton High School and Temple University. John was a proud WWII Army Veteran. He was an avid college basketball fan.
John’s life was his home and family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished time spent with his loved ones and supporting them in all that they did.
He was the husband of the late Helen (Mikula) Lamberson, who died on October 21, 2009. They were married over 58 years at the time of her death.
Surviving are son, John F. Lamberson, Jr. and his wife, Young of Lancaster, daughter Helen Suchajda and husband John of Bethlehem, grandchildren, John F. Lamberson III and his wife Kate of Pittsburgh and Katelyn Suchajda, great-grandsons Nathan and Kai and several nieces and nephews.
John was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Mt. Joy.
Burial will be in Mountainview Cemetery, West Hazleton, PA. Memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society are welcomed by the family.
