John Emory Poisal, Age 88, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on July 2nd, 2018. He had been a resident of Hamilton Arms Center in Lancaster since July of 2015.
Born in Baltimore, Mr. Poisal was the son of the late John Robertson Poisal and Anne Getz Poisal. He was a graduate of Thaddeus Stevens College, Class of 1952.
Proudly serving for the U.S. Army Military Police during the Korean War, he received the Good Conduct and National Defense Service Medals.
He retired from J. L. Clark & Company (now Clarcor) as a draftsman and lithographer for 35 years.
Mr. Poisal enjoyed being outdoors. His love for motorcycles was evident in the more than 300,000 miles he traveled throughout the United States and Canada.
He is survived by his nephews and niece: Gilbert Panitz of Viera, FL, Lee Panitz of Green Cove Springs, FL and Carol Gribbin of Punta Gorda, FL. He was predeceased by his sister, JoAnn Frances Panitz (2001) and nephew, John Anthony Panitz (2017).
Relatives and friends are respectively invited to attend a graveside service at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery on July 20th at 1:00 PM.
