James W.Shirk, 56, of
Landisville
, Pa, passed away Thursday, September 7th 2017 after a brief battle with cancer at Hospice of Mount Joy. He was born in Lancaster, Pa to the late James H. and Katherine Shirk on December 11, 1960. He was a graduate of Conestoga Valley High School. Was employed by the High company for 35 years, and was currently working for the Transit Department as a load coordinator. He was an active member of the
Wrightsville
AG Church as sound man and cook for the men’s monthly breakfast. He was a volunteer fireman for over 15 years, with Bird n Hand F.D, East
Petersburg
F.D., and
Hempfield
F.D. He was at one time a member of the
Landisville
Lions Club and volunteered for Holiday Hope. James was a tractor driver for Field of Screams. He would dress in a rabbit costume every year for the
Wrightsville
Church community Easter event and wore a snowman costume for the
High’s
Children’s Breakfast with Santa. James loved playing golf with family and riding his motorcycle with his wife.
He is survived by his wife Deborah of 37 years; daughters, Angela (Scott) Green and Sara (Ryan)

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, September 16th, 2017 at 11a.m. at the

Pa. with light refreshments to follow. Visitation with family will begin at 9:30a.m.
