James Brown III

James Clinton Brown III, 65, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on October 14, 2024 in Lancaster, PA. James was born on May 21, 1959, in Norfolk, VA, to Elmira Weatherington (deceased). He was a graduate of Conestoga Valley High School and worked in construction and many years of dedicated service at Community Service Group. James had a deep love for sports, which he expressed through his involvement in Lititz VFW Softball and his passion for APBA and countless fantasy and sports teams. He was a competitive spirit and cherished the camaraderie and banter that came with these pursuits.

James is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Brown, and his children: Danielle (Brown) Reidenbach, wife of Eric Reidenbach; Aaron Lugo; Amanda (Wissler) Darius, wife of Fritz Darius; Christopher Hartman; and Tara Hartman. He was a proud grandfather to Bennett Reidenbach, Harper Reidenbach, Madison Wissler, Hailey Darius, Jullian Darius, and Silas Haikalis. He also leaves behind his siblings, Deborah Brown, William Blees, husband of Diane Blees and Mike Brown from Jacksonville, Florida. James’s life was also brightened by the companionship of his dogs, Gabby and the late Lucy, who were constant sources of joy and unconditional love.

A celebration of life to honor James's life will be held in the new year. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Lancaster SPCA.

James will be dearly missed for a lot of reasons, especially his sense of humor, by all who knew and loved him.
