Harry E. Risser, 81, of Elizabethtown, PA, passed away on Saturday, the 15th of February, 2025, in Lancaster, PA. Harry was the loving husband of Jennifer A. Risser for nearly 39 years. Born at home in Mount Joy Township, PA, he was the son of the late Goldie F. and Harry E. Risser Sr.
Harry was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed working on and driving his 60’s GM muscle cars. He loved listening to and had an encyclopedic memory of 50’s and 60’s rock. He took great pride in his children, the people they have become, and the families they are building. His grandchildren always brought joy to his heart, and he expressed his sadness over missing the chance to see them grow. He enjoyed the company of his pet cat, Kitty Kat. His genuine sense of humor will be missed. While he was a man of few words, every word he spoke carried weight. Harry was a dependable and selfless man; his generosity and willingness to help others will make a lasting impact on our lives.
Although Harry will be dearly missed, his legacy will continue to live on through his children: Doug Risser, husband of Jenn; Mike Risser, husband of Jen; James Risser, husband of Kimberly; Amy, wife of Jonathan Kenn; and his grandchildren Andrew, Stephanie, Logan, Jack, Chase, Aria, and great-grandchild Colton.
Services will be determined at a later date. In lieu of flowers, trees may be planted in his name at alivingtribute.org.
