Georgina “Gina” (Denilen) Kimes, 53, of Narvon, peacefully entered the gates of Heaven after losing her courageous battle with Breast Cancer on April, 9 th 2016, surrounded by her loved ones at the University of Pennsylvania. Born and raised in Coatesville, she graduated from CASH, class of 1980. She was the daughter of Rosemary (Mammarella) Ford of New Holland. She leaves behind her high school sweetheart and loving husband of 34 years, Gregory S. Kimes.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two children, Sarah M. wife of B. Matthew Osborn, and their daughter Kaylee of Narvon, her son, Steven G. and his fiancée, Alyssa S. Kreiser of Parkesburg. She also leaves behind three sisters, Kathleen, wife of Kevin Maule of Columbia, Karen, wife of Frank Markward of Leola and Sharon, wife of the late Lewis Hall Sr. of Honey Brook, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Gina cherished the opportunity to stay at home raising her family and providing a warm environment for her devoted husband, family and friends. Her door was always open for anyone needing a place to hang out, to enjoy her great home cooking, or for those that just needed an ear to listen. She had an incredible green thumb and everything she planted flourished. The light of her life was her precious granddaughter, Kaylee, who she fondly referred to as her little Kay Bug.
A private burial ceremony will be held Saturday, April 16th . In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
