Earl William Potts

June 3, 1941 — January 22, 2025

Stevens

Earl W. Potts, 83, of Stevens, passed away on January 22, 2025 at The Gardens of Stevens. Born in Adamstown, Earl was the son of the late Earl W. Potts, Sr. and Martha E. Potts. He was the loving husband of Nancy M. Potts for 62 years. Nancy passed away on January 30, 2024, and they are now united together in eternal peace and love.

Earl was an avid Penn State football fan and never missed a game. He loved science fiction movies and gazing at the night sky. In his younger years, he enjoyed racing micro midget cars. He also enjoyed playing baseball and softball throughout his life, as well as hunting and fishing. He took pride in being a licensed amateur radio user and enjoyed being able to speak with other radio users around the world. After his retirement from a long career in the concrete business, he loved traveling with Nancy. They visited Florida quite often and greatly enjoyed their trips to the western states. One of their favorite trips was to San Antonio, Texas, to watch Penn State play (and win) in the 2007 Alamo Bowl. WE ARE PENN STATE!

Earl is survived by three loving daughters, Deborah Sweigart (Michael) of Denver, Vickie Witman of Shillington, and Stacy Rouillard (Ron) of Virginia, as well as three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He will be forever loved, missed and remembered by his daughters and grandchildren, and his daughters will always appreciate the strong work ethic and fierce sense of independence that he instilled in them.

In accordance with Earl’s wishes, there are no services.
