Donald A. Shirer, Jr., 84, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Little River, South Carolina passed away on October 21, 2023.
Don graduated from Penn Hills High School and went on to Carnegie Tech where he became a Mechanical Engineer. Don was a United States Army veteran, serving in Korea. He loved golfing, playing cards, stamp collecting and spending time with family and friends.
Don was preceded in death by his first wife, Judy Steele, and his second wife, Beryl Schriner. He is survived by his loving sister, Carol Childress, his children, Mark (Rose) Shirer, Donna (Bob) Wenger, Tracey Valko (Jared), Lori (Brian) May, 11 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters.
