Dennis Lee Wanner, Sr., 66, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly at the Lancaster General Hospital on Tuesday, July 7, 2020. Dennis resided at 254 Park Avenue, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Born August 30, 1953 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Clarence Cunningham and Pearl Virginia (Sheaffer) Wanner. He was preceded in death by two siblings: a sister, Terry A. (Sheaffer) Kritser and a brother, Robert E. Sheaffer.
Dennis enjoyed entertaining and he possessed the uncanny ability to light-up a room with his smile and laughter; especially when he turned on his unconventional style of humor. He loved singing, dancing, and listing to music; but most of all he enjoyed having a good time with family and friends.
Over the years, he was a laundry worker and he worked at several local hotel establishment. Due to existing health issues, Dennis has been disabled for the past 10 years.
Surviving are two sons, Dennis and Charles; a brother, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and extended family members most who reside in Lancaster.
His arrangements are handled by Cremation Services of Lancaster.
