Charles I. Cohen, 64, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday January 2, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born November 8, 1953 in Brooklyn, New York to Harry and Sarah Cohen.
Charlie obtained his business degree at a State University in New York and was employed by S&R Litho in New York. In 1994 he opened his own taxi business, C+C Taxi in East Windsor, New Jersey. He retired from the business in 2017 after 23 years of service to the community.
Charlie was the husband of Cynthia R. Cohen whom he married on July 20, 1985. They were happily married for 32 years.
Also surviving are his two children, Daniel Cohen, Sarah Navarro-Pizarro and her husband Josue, his granddaughter, Emily Cohen, all of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; his two brothers, David Cooper and his wife Pat, and Bert Cohen, all of New York. He was preceded in death by his sister Iris (Cohen) Goldberg of Florida.
Charlie enjoyed camping and travelling. He took pleasure in cooking and organizing family events as well. Charlie loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Charlie’s wish was always to make everyone’s dreams come true, no matter how big or small that dream was. In his passing his wish for his family and friends was “no sadness, no regrets, just be”.
At Charlie’s request, services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to the Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute,
