Lancaster

Carol J. Larmie, 82, of Willow Street, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. She was the beloved wife of David J. Larmie, with whom she shared 59 years of marriage. Born in DuBois, PA she was the daughter of the late George and Laura Harding. She was a graduate of Brockway High School, class of 1960. Following high school, Carol spent 2 years at the Lancaster School of Nursing. After completing her LPN training, she met David and started a family. Carol enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Her faith was her foundation and very important to her throughout all aspects of her life. All who knew Carol would say she was kind, caring and compassionate, so it was no surprise that she loved working as a personal caregiver. Carol is remembered most importantly as a devout Christian, her warm infectious smile and as a wonderful wife, mother and friend.

She is survived by her daughters Deborah D. Brooks (Brian) of Strasburg, Valerie W. Boos (Tim) of Lancaster, Carla L. Savidge (Kelly) of Lancaster, Cathie A. Frey (Ernie) of Kirkwood, Connie M. Plank (Guy) of Quarryville, a son Shayne D. Larmie of Quarryville, 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 3 siblings.
