Barry “Pap” Lee Evans, 70, of Strasburg, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 23rd 2015 while at work.
He was born in Lancaster, PA to Lloyd and Anna Evans.
After school he worked as a carpenter before being employed at Smoketown Elementary. He worked there until he retired. In his spare time he enjoyed chasing after the dogs, Jake and Cami and going out on the boat and fishing with his daughter, Lisa and son-in-law Jim.
He is survived by: a brother, Richard “Butch” Evans, a daughter, Lisa A. Kiscaden, wife of James Kiscaden, Jr. A daughter, Melissa D. Marron, wife of, Kevin Marron, a son, Chad Michael Evans, a daughter Michaela Evans and a son Ryan Evans. He is survived by 4 grandchildren: James Kiscaden III, Kristen Riker, Charles Metzger and Tyler Evans. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald “Buster” Evans and a sister Charlotte (Evans) Phillips.
Immediate family will be invited to attend a small, private service at the Cremation Services of Lancaster. Friends are welcome to send their condolences privately, or send a donation in Barry’s name to the Lancaster SPCA.
