Andrew Stephen Calhoun, 43, went home to the Lord, on Tuesday October 22, 2013 in East Petersburg, Pennsylvania. He was born on February 9, 1970 in Salem, Ohio to Lowell and Peggy Calhoun. On January 29, 2006, he married SueEllen Calhoun and served as a loving and selfless husband and father to his three children and two wonderful daughters-in-law. He devoted his life to protecting those he loved and came into contact with. Andrew was a devout paramedic and served for Harleysville Area Emergency Medical Service and Lower Frederick Regional Ambulance Corps. He was a zealous Christian whose main goal was to honor the Lord with all of his words and actions.
Survivors include his wife, SueEllen of Schwenksville; Two sons, Andrew and Michael; One daughter, Rebecca; Two daughters-in-law, Amanda and Katherine; His father, Lowell; His step-mother, Pearl; Three sisters, Marilyn, Lisha, and Freda; One brother, Dewey; as well as many siblings-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Calhoun, and his brother-in-law, Archie Hendrickson.
A time of thanksgiving and praise for the miraculous life of Andrew will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship, 2788 Geryville Pike, Pennsburg, PA. There will be a time of celebration to talk with family from 9am to 11am. The memorial service will be held at 11am. In lieu of flowers, Andrew requested that donations be made to Lower Frederick Regional Ambulance Corps and Harleysville Area Emergency Medical Service.
