Alice Rose Snyder, who despite claiming she was 39 for the last half century, passed away on February 13, 2025, shortly before her 92nd birthday. She spent her final days at her daughter's home in Ephrata, surrounded by her loved ones. Ali was born in Camden, NJ to Albert and Lillian Wolfe (nee Mcgowan) on March 14, 1933. She met and married Herbert Snyder in 1951. Excited to start a family together, they had four beautiful children, Sharon, Debra, David, and Steven. One of Ali's greatest legacies was raising her children, whom she held as her pride and joy. After many decades in New Jersey, Ali and Herb moved to Kure Beach, NC where she could spend her days walking on the beach and painting. Ali's favorite times were when her grandchildren would come to visit. She treasured her role as a grandparent and adored being their 'Mim'.
Ali enjoyed socializing with friends, reading, and music. She was passionate about travelling and learning details of her Irish heritage, culminating in her time spent visiting Ireland. In recent years, Ali moved to PA to be closer to her family. Here, she adopted her cherished dog, Sweet Pea, who was always by her side. More than anything, Ali loved spending time with her family and sneaking treats to Sweet Pea. Ali was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Herbert Snyder, and loving son, Steven Mark Snyder. She is survived by her children Sharon Reese (Ralph), Debra Forster (Ray), and David Snyder (Diane), nephew Robert Wolfe (Lisa), grandchildren Scott, David, Patrick, Alyson, Heather, Steven, Kirstin, and Madison and great-grandchildren Adeline, Owen, Avery, Carson, Nina, Samuel, Ryan, Emmett, and Lilah.
Her life will be celebrated with a Catholic service on Friday, February 28th at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church, 320 Church Ave., Ephrata, PA 17522. Visitation is from 10-11 am followed by mass and a luncheon. Ali was a long time contributor to St Jude's Children's Hospital and would be honored to have donations made in her name. Ali will return to North Carolina to lay beside her beloved Herb.
