Mary E. Smith

Mary E. Smith, 87, of Lancaster, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at ManorCare, Lancaster. She was the wife of the late John W. Smith.

She was born in Boston, MA to the late John W. and Clara Brennan.

She had been employed at the J. L. Clark Manufacturing for many years and had been the treasurer and member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW #1690.  She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, Lancaster.

Surviving are a daughter Diane Stallings of Lancaster; grandchilkdrenTodd, Mark, Christopher and Joshua Stallings and Danielle Hartman and numerous great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by son Robert Smith and a brother Fred Brennan and granddaughters Tammy Zellers and Christine Smith.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11AM in the Grace Lutheran Church, 517 N. Queen Street, Lancaster with the Rev. Steve Verkouw officiating.  Friends may greet the family following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made in her memory to the church.

  • My thoughts & prayers to Diane, grandchildren & great grandchildren. Mom was a wonderful & caring lady, she always did for others b-4 her self.
    Heaven now has another angel, as she joined her husband-John, brother-Uncle Fred & 2 granddaughters-Tammy & Christine. I will certainly miss talking & visiting w/her. Love always! RIP
