Age 82, Linda passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday August 24, 2022, at Providence Place in Lancaster, PA. She was born November 13, 1939, in Pittsburgh and graduated from Penn (Hills) High School in 1957 where she was a cheerleader and the 1956 Homecoming Queen. She then attended Presbyterian University Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1960 and worked as a labor and delivery nurse at Passavant Hospital in the North Hills for 30 years.
She is survived by her sister Laurel Bailey of South Carolina and was the loving mother of Laura (Dave) Lindt, Beth (John) Miller, and Dean (Amy) Longwell and the proud grandmother of Rachel (Chris) Dupkanick and Dana Lindt, Maureen (Karsten) Yoder, Michelle and Molly Miller, and Grace and Brady Longwell. She was also a great-grandmother (Gigi) to Miles Dupkanick.
There will be visitation at 10am followed by an 11am memorial service on Friday, September 16, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1719 Mt. Royal Blvd, Glenshaw, PA 15116. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or the Shaler North Hills Library on Mt. Royal Blvd.

I am so, so sorry to learn of Linda’s passing. It was such a joy and privilege to get to know her during my time at Providence Place. Even though this is late, I send my love and prayers to you all as you learn to adjust to life without her.
