Kevin D. Brewer

Kevin D. Brewer, 65, of Mount Joy, passed away surrounded by family on Monday, December 19th, 2016 at Lancaster General Hospital. He was the loving fiancé of Barbara Hess, and father to Tara Reinhold and Janel Jenkins

He was born near Horsham England to David and Patricia Brewer, on December 9, 1951

He studied Engineering at Crawley Technical College, and retired from tool and dye manufacturing.

Kevin loved spending peaceful, quality time with his fiancé Barb and Gracie, his pet boxer.  He was a history enthusiast and particularly enjoyed reading WWII novels, and antiquing for military paraphernalia.  Kevin enjoyed quiet evenings trying new restaurants and playing card games.  He cherished the honest and sincere relationships developed through his membership with local support groups.  Kevin was blessed with creativity, intelligence, and compassion, and generously shared his gifts with family and friends.  He will be dearly missed.

In addition to his fiancé, Barbara, he is survived by his two daughters Tara, wife of Chris Reinhold and Janel, wife of David Jenkins; and two grandsons Adam and Noah Reinhold.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service in the Chiques United Methodist Church at 1215 East Main Street Mount Joy, on Friday December 30 at 6:00pm with Pastor Beverly Andrews officiating. Friends may greet the family during visitation 5:00pm until the time of the service.  Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Naaman Center, online at www.naamancenter.com or mailed to Naaman Center 4600 E. Harrisburg Pike Elizabethtown PA  17022.

  • Kevin will be sorely missed. He played a major role in everyone’s sobriety. I particularly appreciated his readings from the 24 hour a Day Daily Devotional Book. He always had something meaningful to share. I am saddened by our loss of such a great member.
