JoAnn L. McCoy, 74, of Elizabethtown passed away on Friday, July 3, 2015. She had retired as a switchboard operator for the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown and was a graduate of York’s William Penn Senior High School, class of 1959. JoAnn was preceded in death by her daughter Karen S. Biltz and is survived by two children, Gail L. Myers and David A. McCoy, brother George Weichert, sister Linda Frey and three grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned to be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Just got word of JoAnn’s passing. I am sending condolences from the York High Class of 1959. JoAnn was a special person, and she will be missed.
I’m very sorry for your lost, I worked with Joan McCoy when I was and security guard, we use to have many good talks. I enjoyed her company. You were blessed with a mother who cared. Thank you for allowing me to be with her at Masonic Village. God bless your family. Thank you for the memories!
