Jerry William Styer, Jr

Jerry William Styer Jr, 61, passed away on Friday, December 31st, 2021 at Lancaster General Hospital.  He was the loving husband of Diane (Leaman) Styer.  He was the son of Pat (Stokes) Styer and the late Jerry Styer Sr.

Jerry attended Manheim Township High School. After high school, he took on different jobs before landing at Howmet now Arconic in 1981. He was in his 40th year of loyal service to the company at the time of his passing.

Jerry’s passions were his family, vacations usually with sun and sand, fishing, being a jack of all trades, and growing many different pepper plants each summer

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother, Randy (Marie) Styer, 3 children: Zachary A. Styer (Deanna), Joshua A. Styer, and Sarah L. Styer, all of Lancaster, PA. He also had five grandchildren, whom he adored.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of his life on Saturday, January 22nd at 2:00 pm at St John Lutheran Church, 223 West Orange Street Lancaster, PA 17603 with Pastor Margaret Kassees officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 pm to the time of the service.

  • Jerry was an amazing man who loved his wife, children, grandchildren, friends, and his job. I will miss insanely hot peppers from the garden, lessons in Keto, Saturday night dinners, fireworks, and belly laughs that hurt cause I couldn’t stop. RIP my friend!
