Jean E. Weller

Jean E. Weller, 92, of Ecumenical Community, Harrisburg, formerly of Millersville and Emlenton, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Pinnacle Health Community Hospital in Harrisburg.

Born on June 25,1923 in Emlenton, she was the daughter of Frank and Florence (Beels) Blackhall.  She was married on March 11, 1949 to William D. Weller, who preceded her in death on December 28, 2009.

After graduating from Franklin Business School, she worked at Beels Insurance in Knox, PA as a secretary.  She retired from there in 1985.

Jean was an active member of the Emlenton Presbyterian Church, serving as an Elder, Clerk of Sessions for many years, and also served on various committees.  After moving to the Lancaster area, she became a member of Bethany Presbyterian.

She loved to quilt and made many beautiful quilts, which she shared with her children and grandchildren.  Jean was an accomplished seamstress, enjoyed baking and her flower gardens.

Jean will be lovingly missed by her three daughters, Ann, wife of James Dosch, of Millersville, Susan Worstell of Millersville, Mary Jean Ferguson of Chino Valley, AZ; a son, David Haynes-Weller, husband of Marion, of Red Lion; 4 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at the Emlenton Presbyterian Church, Main St., Emlenton, PA, on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Darrel Knopp officiating.  Friends may visit with the family at the church on Friday between 10:00-11:00a.m.
