Gerald E. Weaver

Gerald Ebersole Weaver, age 86, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Masonic Village in Elizabethtown under Hospice care.He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years Emily Jane Weaver.

He was born in Elizabethtown to Frank Horst and Jennie Ebersole Weaver on July 05, 1932.  He graduated in 1950 and was better known as “Moose” Weaver by the community as an avid athlete.  Inducted

into the 106th Ordinance Company of the U.S Army on January 29, 1953 he served 14 months in Korea.  Gerald was a 75 year member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and a retiree of RCA Lancaster with 37 plus years of service.

Being sixth of seven children, he is survived by a brother Michael E. Weaver, Elizabethtown, a daughter, Jennie (John W. Jr.) Cooper, Salunga, and a son Jesse M. Weaver. Granddaughters Shelby (Charles III) Weber, Mount Joy, Ashley 

(Danny, Jr.) Carter, Burlington, NC, Katie (Erik) VanNess, Raeford, NC, great grandchildren Mason & Mackenzie VanNess, and a step great granddaughter Kennadi Rae Burke.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service at the Sell Chapel Masonic Village Elizabethtown on Saturday January 5, 2019 at 11AM with Pastor Brian Farling officiating.  Internment will take place at Fort Indiantown Gap with military honors at the convenience of the family.
