Evelyn J. Barley

Evelyn J. Barley, 94, of Elizabethtown passed away

peacefully to her eternal home with her family by her side

on November 28, 2023. She was the loving and devoted

wife of Wilbur Barley for 65 years. Evelyn was the daughter

of the late Dorothy (Hahn) Weidner of Middletown. She

was preceded in death by husband Wilbur Barley, siblings

Kenneth Weidner, Jean Derr and Ronald Weidner, and son-

in-law Robert Kramer and grandson Stephen Hipple. She is survived by daughters

Brenda Kaylor and her husband Fred, Karen DiPuccio and her husband Mike, and

Sherry Kramer; as well as seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Evelyn was a dedicated wife and mother and an impeccable homemaker. Even

in her later years, she continued to be a major source of guidance and support to

her family. She was a longtime member of the First Church of God of

Elizabethtown. She enjoyed family get togethers, cooking, sewing, cleaning

house, painting, and gardening. Evelyn’s family will deeply miss their get

togethers of talking, visiting, and eating desserts.

There will be no public services, internment will be at the direction of the family.

In lieu of flowers, please make any contributions in her name to either St. Jude

Children’s Research Hospital or the Masonic Village Evergreen Hospice Unit, 98

Masonic Drive, Suite 101, Elizabethtown, PA. 17022
