  • Senora Griffiths was my Spanish teacher at Solanco and was one of the best teachers in any subject that I ever had. I moved from another state where we started taking languages earlier, and she created a class just for me in my senior year. I still speak Spanish to this day and I will never forget her love for teaching and her kindness. Thank you, Senora.

  • What a lovely person and gentle soul. I learned so much from Diane and she will stay with me always. I will miss you Miss Griffiths and every time I see a Velazquez painting – I will smile thinking of you. May you be at peace.

  • I knew her as Miss Griffiths for four years as my Spanish teacher at Solanco High School. I was also a part of a group of her Spanish class students who traveled to Mexico and Spain (1987/1988).

Miss Griffiths was an inspiration to me. She is a large part of why I do what I do now. I speak Spanish fluently and use it every day as a third-generation owner of a dairy farm and before that, a newspaper reporter.

I have remembered Miss Griffiths fondly over the years and am so sorry to learn of her passing. What a wonderful teacher and human being!
