Daniel J. Gearing, 55, passed away peacefully at the home of his daughter Krystal on Tuesday October 3, 2017 with her by his side. He put up a courageous fight against his diagnosis of stage IV colon cancer in May of 2016 which was further complicated by a stroke on May 31st, 2017. Dan had an adventurous spirit who loved being outdoors riding his motorcycle. He was a handyman who enjoyed woodworking, listening to rock music, cooking, and watching his favorite football team, the Seahawks. He was born in Placerville, California and is survived by his two daughters, Krystal Billett and Laura (Ben) Santiago, grandson Dean Santiago, his mother Joyce Gearing and two sisters, Janice Fristoe and Tamara Gearing. There will be no memorial services held at this time.
