Carl L. Schnader, Sr.

Carl L. Schnader Sr., 90, of Bausman passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, February 2, 2024 at LGH.

Carl was a devoted family man, he was an avid hunter, fisherman, and loved his trips to the casino. He was a highly talented salesman and furniture merchant. Carl worked at John L. Porter Furniture of Lancaster for 50 years. Carl had many other adventures on the side: twisting pretzels, selling watermelons, making funnel cakes at fairs with family, going to yard sales as often as possible and so much more.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Catherine (Phillips) Schnader; parents, Elmer Schnader and Frances (Sutter) Schnader; Sisters; Mary, Frances (Dicky), Gloria (Ola), Leona (Girly), Brothers; Elmer (Boss), Richard (Rip) He is survived by a son, Carl L. Schnader Jr. and his wife Deborah; Grandson, Jason Schnader and wife Jill; Granddaughter, Tonya Massarotti and husband Dexter;  great-grandsons; Brett and Dillon, great-granddaughter; Julia and sister Betty Mahler.

Services in memory of Carl will be at 11 a.m. Friday, February 9,2024, at Grace Lutheran Church, 517 N. Queen St. Lancaster PA 17603. A greeting time is scheduled from 10-11am, and all are welcome to join the family for the service and luncheon following.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grace Lutheran Church.
