Carl A Mowery, Jr

Carl A. Mowery, Jr. 68 a native of Lancaster, Pa. went to his heavenly home on Monday, February 28, 2022. He died peacefully at his home surrounded by family and friends.

He retired from Millersville University after 20+ years of service.

He was preceded in death by his father Carl A. Mowery, Sr, mother, Evelyn ‘Lefever’ Mowery and a brother Michael J. Mowery.

He is survived by his son, Michael P Mowery, his daughter, Erin S Mowery, 3 grandchildren, a brother Donald Mowery and his sister Robin S Mowery Shultz; wife of Brian.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Lancaster, 685 Good Drive Lancaster, Pa. 17601. Services are private at the convenience of the family.

  • To the family of Carl. I have known Carl and Donnie since we were kids. Carl worked for me at my gas station and was a very good worker and always on time. I am saddened to hear of Carls passing and my prayers are with you all.

  • Erin and Mike and family I know you all are going to miss your dad and brother very much. Your dad and I go back a lot of years and done a thing to together when I needed help with something I could always count on him to help me. Old stink was my partner in crime when we use to repo car’s for Matlock Barry Moore RIP in my friend and brother till we meet again and drink a couple cold beers we did a lot of that in the day will miss you very much.

    Was really saddened to hear of his passing. We had so much fun on 3rd shift at Millersville. He was such a sweet heart.
    Carl will truly be missed.

  • I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I didn’t know him other than a very nice man that I delivered Meals on Wheels to once a week. He’s been on my mind since his deliveries stopped. My sincere condolences and prayers to his family. I miss seeing him every Monday morning.
